Description
Champagne Delamotte was founded in 1760 by the visionary Francois Delamotte, whose family eventually sold the estate to the Lanson family in the 1830s. This chalky and mineral-driven Chardonnay ages on its lees for 4-5 years (much longer than the appellations required 15 months) prior to bottling. Notes of white flowers, chalk, citrus, and toast dominate this exquisite and balanced palate. Serve with oysters, grilled fish, or a variety of passed hors d’oeuvres.
